Wow! Really pretty country is quite the understatement. We are camped on a ridge line meadow just off the PCT right at the border of the Glacier Peaks Wilderness. Kodak Peak is right behind us and Indian Head Peak is right in front. Actually there are nothing but fabulous peaks, ridgelines and meadows in every direction! The scenery is so spectacular that it took us most of the day to hike 7.5 miles to this spot. We stopped here around 5pm because the trail drops to a wooded pass and then climbs quite a bit to the next pass. I really felt like camping in a really awesome spot for a change. This one is high and dry with 360-degree views. It’s really exposed if it storms, but there’s not supposed to be any thunderstorms tonight or tomorrow. Just maybe some rain. The ground has great drainage potential. I don’t know if we’ll leave camp set up here and day hike tomorrow or what. Ooh, an owl just flew over my head! He’s continuing to circle the tent less than 20 feet off the ground. Very cool!
