I just got done chowing down on an Elk Lake Resort burger and sweet potato fries. I could barely finish it! I washed it down with a nice cold cider.  Last night’s camp worked pretty well, not much condensation under my little pine tree next to the trail. It was a cold night though. In the morning I discovered a small yellow jacket nest about 8 feet from my tent. Luckily they were well-mannered and let me pack up peacefully.  It was a pretty uneventful hike out. I stayed cool all morning until reaching the southern turn-off for Elk Lake which brings you down through a small burned area which got a little warm. This place is a little bit of a zoo but the food was good. Now I just wait for my beautiful wife to arrive.
