Forest Road 23 to Stabler

8:10 p.m. It's almost hiker midnight. My latest adventure is on the PCT in Washington again completing the Indian heaven section that I bailed on last year after getting soaked for a day and a half on Mount Adams.

There is a 20% chance of rain tonight through tomorrow night. Hopefully it stays dry. I started at Forest Road 23 at 10:30 this morning and was on the trail till about 6 pm. I did 16.8 miles and am camped at a crappy little woodsy spot in a saddle at the southern junction of the Sawtooth Mountain Trail. I took this spot because I was running out of energy and was getting kind of achy. Sucks getting old.

Tomorrow I get to hike through the lake and meadow country of Indian heaven wilderness aiming for night number two in the vicinity of Big Huckleberry Mountain. That would be a 20.6 mile day leaving about 14 miles for my last day to meet up with my lovely wife at the Wind River forest center. This hike will complete all the gaps and only leaves me what's north of Snoqualmie Pass.
