16 MAY 2021

Actually it's the next day from home, but it was a long day yesterday.

Broke camp at 6:30! Made it up to Three Corner Rock and back to the PCT by 8:00 am. Great views from up there. It was quite the lineup of snowy valcanos.  Speaking of snow, all the wooded sections up there were covered in snow about 2 - 3 feet deep. Pretty easy walking though. The next several miles south were pretty nice, some open country, then in and out of the woods. Lots of road crossings but the roads were blocked by snow. There were some really nice flower meadows and slopes on the approach to Table Mountain. Then the trail started dropping. It was never very steep but it was quite warm. Took lots of breaks and a few foot soaks and knee cooling breaks.

Luckily it was mostly in the shade until the lower elevations in the last four miles. Then it was in and out of the sun and quite a bit of poison oak. In a couple weeks it would be really bad.

Made it to the bridge by 4:00 pm!
