8:45 pm:  I found a nice little thru hiker style camp right next to the Amanda trail about halfway between the statue and the Lookout on top of Cape Perpetua. 

Today has been really foggy. The walk to Yachats was in the fog the whole way. Yachats  was foggy, windy, and cold.  it improved some when I got into the woods but then got really bad again approaching the shelter area. The wind was screaming up there on top of the Cape

and the fog drip was horrible. And now I'm getting some drip here as the fog seems to be rolling in. Hope it doesn't get too bad.

I backtracked to here after getting water cause I didn't like how Cook's Ridge looked on the other side of the Cape.  We will see. At least the

wind has stopped.
