Just got back from a coast trip to fill in some gaps from last summer's long section hikes.
Started out at Winema Beach and hiked the mile or so north to the mouth of the Nestucca. Very nice stretch of beach with some cool rock formations to hike through. Couldn't linger too long with the tide coming in or I would risk getting trapped.
Afterward I went north to Bob Straub state park and hiked south to the end of the spit at the mouth of the Nestucca again. Nice morning but then the fog rolled back in, thick.
Explored up on Cape Kiwanda and checked out the sinkhole. After that I did the south loop at Sitka Sedge. Then drove home and bright sun.
