9 pm: I am camped in the quite full hiker/biker camp at South Beach state park. Luckily I arrived early and got a good corner spot. There is a large group of campers occupying most of the camp loop adjacent to us that all seem to be there together.  Reunion maybe. They have a much too loud sound system blasting some kind of Asian music. Really annoying.  Quiet hours don't start until 10:00 pm. Had a nice hike today though.

Started out by hiking north to the Base of Otter Rock before heading south. Had to detour briefly to get around Yaquina Head which involved about 2 minutes of highway walking. Detoured over to Nye Beach for a chicken burger at the Irish pub. Then I walked the beach to Lighthouse park and under the bridge to the Bayfront. Looks about the same as I remember. Came back up and crossed the bridge after that. That wasn't much fun. Made my way over to Rogue Distillery for a pint ( of ale) and a snack with a great view of the bay before hiking into this circus. I hope I manage to sleep.
