Otter Rock to Cape Perpetua (July 21-25)

9:15 pm: Back on the trail again after much indecision. This time I drove to Corvallis and parked near OSU and took the bus to Newport. The bus trip only cost $5! Then I took a bus a few miles north to Beverly Beach state park for my first night.

It just started to lightly mist in the last hour. Good thing the hiker camp is fairly isolated because there's a lot of noisy kids in the campground below here. There is a gal here

from The Nederlands who just finished a very snowy hike of the Oregon PCT and is now doing the OCT. Looks like she might have the same

itinerary as me. So far she's only staying at the state parks. I'll probably be seeing her at the next couple of parks.
