7:45 p.m. Well I made it to Cape Lookout mostly intact. I did develop a nice blister on my pinky toe. That's probably because of all the road walking. Ugh! Had a nice night out on the spit last night. It did rain for a little while in the early morning hours but had stopped by daylight.  It was a nice start walking down the beach to Cape Meares.

Only a few people were out early, mostly locals and people staying at Cape Meares. Had some nice chats with some folks and then started the

road walk to Oceanside.  It seemed like a long 2 miles. I did get to see a mother deer and her fawn in someone's driveway. After a walk through

Oceanside it was back to the beach all the way to Netarts boat launch. I probably could have got a boat ride if I tried but the possible drop

off points look like it could be a long walk just to get to the beach side of the spit and then a 5 mile walk to the campground ,so I rode walked.
