CRATER LAKE
Not knowing what the Rim Village Cafe on the rim sold, we stopped in...cold case with energy drinks, veggie sticks, pre-made sandwiches and some easy serve items like chili dogs and soup. There are cookies and chips and such too. I snapped a photo of the menu/prices. While we did not observe water fountains or bottle fill stations anywhere, when we asked, we were told we are completely welcome to fill bottles at the cold water dispenses through the soda machine.

We wondered how stocked/cared for the water cache at PCT parking area inside the park was so we dropped by to check. We were delighted to see LOTS of water and signs that it is well cared for.
THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH TO THE ANGELS WHO MAINTAIN THIS RELIABLE SUPPLY FOR HIKERS!
One curious note, while the trail is closed
between Mazamas and this point due to cougar activity, at the trailhead parking area THERE IS
NO SIGN saying this. If you're SOBO thru-hiking, you'll see a sign on the opposite side of the road, but if you're section hiking and are dropped off at the parking area, there's no sign for you. BE AWARE---it's closed.
